Late 15th/Early 16th Century Illuminated Manuscript

Early Pennsylvania German Baptismal Certificate
Geburts und Taufshein of Johannes Klein, born to Johannes and Catherina Klein on July 26, 1797, in Bern Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
The Taufshein is hand colored on a form printed by Johann Ritter of Reading early in his career as a printer.
The edges are frayed and there are several tears leading inwards from the edges. However, matting and framing would cover most of these imperfections. This document is a colorful bit of Pennsylvania German Folk Art, over 200 years old.

Michelangelo Buonarroti
A striking portrait of the face of a genius, of whom surpringly few likenesses exist. This engraving was executed in 1846 by Alphonse Francois (1814-1888) from teh unfinished portrait of Michelangelo circa 1545 by Danielle da Volterra, which has been in the Metroploitan Museum of Art since 1977.
The back of the engraving has been stained by being against wood backing used in old framing. There is also a small water stain at the upper left. But the face of likely the greatest of geniuses is clear and powerful.
Framed size is 14 1/2'' x 16 1/2''. It is unmatted and now protected from the wood backing by acid-free board.
